You Can Help

Kuntu is much like a small country town in America 50 years ago.  Today they still follow many of the customs and traditions of their past.  They want to preserve their culture but they know that they must adapt to modern standards.  Nana Brebo and the village leaders believe that education is the key to the development of Kuntu village.  The Kuntu Village Nkosohen Committee-USA is committed to help the villagers in their development but they need all of the help that they can get.  We are grateful for all of our supporters (click here or see the left menu to see some of our supporters).  There are many ways to help.

 

Kuntu Nkosohen Scholar Program

You can have an impact on Kuntu youth (and her or his family, as well as all of Kuntu) by sponsoring a student to attend Senior High School.  A full scholarship cost is $450 per year but we will credit an individual as a sponsor for any donation over $400.  Individuals can also share a sponsorship.  Sponsors can pay as a lump sum (preferred); or in 3 equal payments in September, January and March for each of the 3 school terms; or $50 per month from September through May.  Sponsors receive the name and school address of their student so that they may contact their student directly.  Each scholar is instructed to write a letter of gratitude to their sponsor. Whether a student has a sponsor or not, KVNC-USA pays all of the student's fees when they are due.  Sponsors are asked to follow with their tax-deductible donation to Kuntu Village Nkosohen Committee-USA.

Kuntu Village Nkosohen Committee-USA needs donations of money, school supplies, humanitarian items, and sponsors for projects in Kuntu.  100% of all donations are used directly for the designated Kuntu project.  No one in KVNC-USA receives remuneration and KVNC-USA assumes  responsibility for all organization overhead costs. 

All contributions are tax deductible and acknowledged for tax purposes.
