JSS Library and Read4Kuntu Program

We continue to add books to the library at Kuntu JSS, which has been renamed the Nana Baffoe library.

Dr. Pamela June (KVNC-USA secretary) developed a reading program for Kuntu called Read4Kuntu.  The project is designed to help students and their parents with English.  Students can take a small children book home and share English language books with their parents.  The objective is to promote reading and to help the older villagers learn English.  This program also involves U.S. children.  They select and give the books that are sent to Kuntu children.  KVNC-USA directors, Dr. June, Ms. Cheryl Merrell and Ms. Metris Batts, went to Kuntu in 2005 with over 600 additional books for the library and the Read4Kuntu program.
