Kuntu Nkosohen Scholar Program

Free public education in Ghana ends at Junior Secondary School, now Junior High School or JHS.  In 2005, KVNC-USA helped the first 6 students that successfully completed Kuntu JHS to attend Senior Secondary School (now Senior High School or SHS).  In 2006, an organization of professional African American women, the Bucks County chapter of Links, Inc., provided SSS scholarships for the entire Kuntu JHS class of 2006.

In 2007, we learned that the amount that we provided paid only a part of the actual school fees and some parents struggled to pay the balance.  Thus, KVNC-USA initiated the Kuntu Nkosohen SSS Scholar program to pay 100% of the SHS fees, including boarding or hostel fees if applicable, for all successful Kuntu JHS scholars.  We solicit individuals and organizations to sponsor a Kuntu student.  Sponsors and scholars develop a personal connection.  The sponsor is given the name, school address and student bill for a Kuntu Nkosohen Scholar and the student is given the sponsor name and address.  KVNC-USA pays all of the student fees and the sponsor is asked to make a corresponding tax-deductible donation to KVNC-USA.  WE NEED YOUR HELP.  INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS  ARE INVITED TO SPONSOR A NEEDY KUNTU NKOSOHEN SCHOLAR.
